A much needed update

There are just few things that have happened since i last updated so I will go in topics...
These are just few fun pictures of my summer with the girls. I knew it would probably be my last one with them so I took all the chances I got. We went to the roy pool a lot, 4th of july at layton park was fun, we went to syracuse days, we went a carnival at the mall, the dinosaur park, the duck park in kaysville(where rose felt that she should eat the bread rather than give it to the ducks), and much more. Over all it was fun and I got to spend lots of time with her and meilee.

what the hell...

Well at this moment I am sitting in the bleachers at layton high(go blue) wondering just that... What the hell? I need something to write my thoughts on or in and at this moment my blackberry will have to do. I arrived home from jamaica last night so I should be on cloud 9 right? The total opposite, I woke up in my bed and disappointed to be there. I have totally vacation anxiety I guess. What I wouldn't give to be there right now watching the sunset on the white beach drinking a pina colada. Now that I am home and my heart hurts for more than one reason I have to ask this question which hopefully someone can give me some insight on... What does the heart want? Are we all the person that wants what we can't have? Or is the statement you don't know what you have until you have lost the full truth? Is that as we get older we truly have to search into our hearts and find which side we fall on? Find out if we really know what it is that we want? The future is one of those things that we are not suppose to know otherwise it would ruin the journey and I sometimes beg to differ. You can find out the sex of your baby, why can't someone sit and tell me what my future husbands name is or when I will meet him? I feel like knowing would ease so much pain cause I would not miss that journey. Does anyone agree? Is the pain worth the glory of it in the end? I am at this moment all over the place. I am not even sure if this makes any sense. I do wish that we could get back the days where our concerns were only of not studying for a math test and people telling you to enjoy the joys of being young because, even though our parents said it, like does get harder you do experience pain and regret and heart ache and disappointmnet so much more. I can think of one time in jr. High when my eyes were this swollen and it was so devastating and now it seems so small, I would almost take that moment back for this, that heart ache for this heart ache. Heart ache is always there it just only magnafies which scares me cause I can't imagine what would be worse than this. The jamacians have a way of life that is so different from ours, everuting is aright mon. They say irie all the time which means just that, they feel good its all good and that is hopefully going to be my savior at this moment, knowing that everyting is going to be alright, its going to be irie.... I hope.

I don't believe you.... at least I don't want to

I don’t mind it
I don’t mind at all
It’s like you’re the swing set
And I’m the kid that falls
It’s like the way we fight
The times I’ve cried
We come to blows
And every night
The passion’s there
So it’s got to be right
Right?

No I don’t believe you
When you say don’t come around here no more
I won’t remind you
You said we wouldn’t be apart
No I don’t believe you
When you say you don’t need me anymore
So don’t pretend to
Not love me at all

I don’t mind it
I still don’t mind at all
It’s like one of those bad dreams
When you can’t wake up
It’s like you’ve given up
You’ve had enough
But I want more
No I won't stop
Because I just know
You’ll come around
Right?

No I don’t believe you
When you say don’t come around here no more
I won’t remind you
You said we wouldn’t be apart
No I don’t believe you
When you say you don’t need me anymore
So don’t pretend to
Not love me at all

Just don’t stand there and watch me fall
Because I, because I still don’t mind at all

It’s like the way we fight
The times I’ve cried
We come to blows
And every night
The passions there
So it’s got to be right,
Right?

No I don’t believe you
When you say don’t come around here no more
I won’t remind you
You said we wouldn’t be apart
No I don’t believe you
When you say you don’t need me anymore
So don’t pretend to
Not love me at all

I don’t believe you

Wow, how time flies...

So much has happened since I even wrote on here. Rosie finally got better after being down at Primarys for a week. That was for sure the hardest thing I have had to go through at this point in my life. But she is doing much better now. Chris did finally end up leaving to go back to Korea to finish out his 6 months he has left on his deployment. That was hard to see him go, especially right after we finally brought rose home from the hospital, but he is strong as well as his wife and they will make it through. Just the normal stuff has happened since then. I did turn 24 which was just crazy. It is insane how old we are getting, it seems yesterday I was 18 graduating and thinking that the best years of my life were ahead of me, no one said they would be hard before they got good. Like always we have gone through the holidays, birthdays, celebration as normal. Life is pretty much as it should be. It just keeps going on even if we are not ready for it. Most of the time I am not.

Getting ready to leave the hospital finally!

Dropping chris off at the airport on valentines day...sad

The fam went down to st. george for my birthday and just a little get away.

The little rug rats at the easter egg hunt. Rose was pissed when the eggs were gone..."Ju where are all the eggs, I want more eggs!"

My friend Kiele and me at laser tag. She was terrified and I was her protector!!!

Little baby has started to grow up. She sleeps with this bear every day.

The girls getting ready to head to a princess party.

All the princesses at the princess party!

Princess Rose was so tired. We couldn't get her out of her crown and dress all night.

I chopped my hair and went black and blue. Pretty different from red and orange!

The babies at the girls blessing

Girls night with my favorite ladies...go salon pure!

Just took rose to see shrek. She was so freaking excited to see it. I took her to get ice cream afterwards where she kept saying she wanted to go see shrek. We tried explaining to her that we just saw it, but she wanted to go again and wasn't listening to any of our other suggestions....stubborn girl.

She is in my prayers

This is one of the harder experiences that I have had to experience. On sat my sweet niece rose slept for almost a whole day and woke up withnot make a fever of 104`. She had been sick earlier during the week but not this sick. We got worried and called the emergency room and they said to bring her. We thought we were taking her in for dehydration and a fever, but it turned out she had a severe phnemonia. We spent most of the night in the er in brigham. They took exrays, gave her an iv, and did a million other things that did make her happy. After about 3 hours they decided that they needed to send her down to primary childrens hospital. They were trying to life flight her but they didnt have any helicopters so the ambulance came and got her and took her down to primary childrens. I followed down with my brother. We arrived around 2 am. It was insane to see how in seriously 24 hours Rose had completely been consumed by this. Her eyes were blood shot, her breathing heavy, her lips were dry, just everything about her was off. They finally got her checked out and admitted at about 4 am. Everyone was exhausted, especially rose but at this point she had been poked and proded so many times that she was terrified to lay back and go to sleep. She was so strong and brave. Everytime the doctors needed her to do something she would say ok and just brave through it. I wish I had the strength she had.
We all woke up and my parents got ready to head down to the hospital. My brother was scheduled to leave wednesday to go back to korea so that was another new problem. My mom went right down to see if she could help him with that. I stayed home with the baby and waited for them to get home so we could switch. I headed down around 7pm. When I got there and saw her sitting in her bed my heart broke. She looked exhausted. She didnt fall asleep all night, afraid that they would come poke her with something. We were able to get her to drink something(only through a seringe though) and able to give her a bath. After her bath she got a fever again of 104`. We were finally able to break her fever and got her to sleep. I went out into the waiting area where they had some pull out couches(which I didnt pull out properly so my sleeping conditions were a little awkward).
I finally ended up going back into her room at about 7 this morning. She was awake and did look much better. She had actually slept through the whole night which was good and something she needed badly. She was still refusing to eat or really drink anything. The doctors finally came in (yes doctors plural, she had 3 female doctors) and checked her out. They seemed to act like she was getting better and doing well. Shortly after the nurses came in and told me that they had to suction her. This is a miserable experience. What they do is put some liquid like substance in both her nostrils and then stick a tub in her nostril and down her throat. It sucks up all the gross stuff that is blocking her air way. This is not painful, just more annoying but she freaks out and hates every minute of it. She kicks and screams and just freaks out. Today when the nurses walked in witht he tubs and stuff she instantly knew what they were there to do. I was sitting by her and holding her hand and her grip got instantly tighter. As she was starting to get that scared look on her face a knot started in my throat. Its always hard to watch a little one cry, especially when they dont understand why they are going through what they are going through. When they got her to lay down and started putting the stuff in her nose, she decided to start saying my name. For whatever reason, when she says my name it makes my heart jump, but in this situation it made my heart hurt. I instantly started crying when she said "Julie, please stop please Julie." At that moment I understood that love for a child. I would have willingly taken that pain onto myself in a heartbeat. I couldnt control myself and the more she said my name and please and stop it made my heart hurt even more. When they were done she wouldnt let me go. I sat by her and rubbed her back and we looked at pictures. Although its so hard to see her go through that its good cause you could tell she felt so much better after. She finally fell asleep which was good cause I had to go and I didnt want to leave her while she was awake.
Now we just have to wait and she how much she improves each day. I am so glad though that we have the best childs care right in our own back yard. Primaries is seriously so awesome. You can tell everyone there loves kids and wants them to get better. I cant imagine what it would be like to have to lose one of them though. My heart is with those nurses and doctors that are brave enough to take on those tasks of making our kids feel better.
This is not my normal thing to do but I want to vocally say how grateful I am the Lords precense in my life. Without him we may not have her here anymore. I am so grateful for a good brother who has turned into a great dad. To see someone that once had no patience to even sit and have a conversation at dinner, to be crying and sitting by his 2 year old daughter and comforting her anyway he can is a miracle in itself.
I cant imagine loving something more. She is not my blood but she is very much my baby. I would give anything for her. I hope and pray that she will get better soon and that this will only make her stronger in life as well as me. It would be horrible to start bawling every time she gets hurt. Thank you to those friends that have shown their concern, I appreciate it more than anyone knows. Just keep her and my family in your prayers.

She was so tough

My sweet little girl fell down and smacked her face on something and got a booboo. We took her to the emergency room to just make sure everything was ok. I came a little later and when I walked in the room she said "Look it's Aunt Julie" and that was enough to melt my heart. She was so strong and laid there perfect and let the doctors take care of her. When she was all done she wanted Aunt Ju not mom and dad, I love when that happens! These are a few pictures I took of us cuddling on the couch after, when she just needed some love.

A random moment of thoughts....

As I am sitting here listening to my sad song and being the creep I sometimes am on facebook and looking at peoples pages(hey we all facebook stalk people) I have the overwhelming feeling to express the hope to find that one true love. I feel like you can tell when a couple is truly in love with one another. I most of the time can tell in the way a guy looks at a girl. For those men out there that dont show emotion and cant let us know that they have feelings, for them to look at a girl with those eyes that really say I dont know what I would do without you gives my heart hope. I feel so bad for some people cause I see that lacking in their eyes and that breaks my heart. It breaks my heart when I hear from people that they are content with feeling that their relationship is ok, it is not great but ok. I hope everyone out there boy or girl feels and knows that should not settle for something or someone. I know this is going to sound corney but we all deserve the love of edward and bella ha ha I cant believe I just typed that, but where someone would put another before themselves and where they couldnt imagine a world without that other person, we all deserve that, I deserve that. We should all have that, we all need that. That feeling to be wanted is so important but I feel so simple to fulfill when you have that someone that sees you with the eyes that you see them. In short we all deserve the best and should not settle for anyone or anything!

He has arrived

After 6 long months in Korea my brother is finally home...for a month. He was given time off I believe for the new baby. It was so awesome to see Rosie run up to her dad and give him a big hug and say "daddy you are home". Its cool to see those people that you never thought would have kids, have one that not only do I love with my whole heart but to see that love in his eyes is incredible.

Small note... I hope that everyone keeps the troops, soliders, any military person and their families in your thoughts and prayers. You really sign your life over and sometimes I dont think they keep their interest best at heart. Having someone in surely makes you more aware. Please keep them on your minds!!!

Some of my favorites from 2009...

2009 had its ups and its downs and its happy moments and its sad moments. It was a big year. My brother got married, joined the army, went to boot camp for 6 months and then shipped off to korea. I became single after 6 years which was interesting and one of the harder things. We did lots of fun things this summer. We went to the aquarium and peach days. We had a 4th of July party. Rosie turned 2 finally even though she has the attitude of a 13 year old. We went to the pumpkin patch and temple square and lots more things. It was a good year but I am happy to see 2009 go and say hello to 2010.

She has finally arrived....baby Meilee

This is Meilani. She was born Jan 5, 2010. She weighed a whole 5lbs and was only about 18 inches. She is a little early but we are glad she came and is safe.

It is something incredible to experince the birth of a new child. The more incredible thing for me is to think she is not even mine and I love her with every part of who I am. Its kind of a scary thing to even think that I could love something more than I love her and my niece and nephew and I know someday I will. I am no where in my life ready for a baby but I if I had one of them I would have no problem with it and my heart would be so full. I love their little faces and little hands and the way they look at you is one of the best things. I am a little byast(if that is how you spell it) but think she is a beautiful baby.

I love this picture cause it shows how little she really is. When the nurse put the shirt on her, it seriously covered her whole body. She is just a tiny baby.
